QA Engineer

Job description

As a QA Engineer you are working in Quality Assurance Team. You design, develop, and execute NODATA Quality Assurance Strategy to ensure platform quality. Some of your activities:

  • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback

  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Estimate, prioritize and plan testing activities

  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs

  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved

  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing features to meet client needs

  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify product workflow requirements

  • Monitor debugging process results

  • Track quality assurance metrics, like code coverage, defect densities and open defect counts

  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

  • Participate to QA tools selection and setup, maintain QA tooling and environments

  • Design and develop tailored QA tools


You have a Bachelor or Master in computer science, engineering or similar level of experience. You have proven work experience (2+ years) in software quality assurance. Your skills:

  • Thorough and well organized, you have good communication and social skills

  • Expert knowledge of softwares QA methodologies, tools and processes

  • Good writer, you produce clear and comprehensive test plans and test cases

  • Experience with some test management and continuous integration softwares (Bamboo, SonarQube, qTest, Zephyr etc.)

  • Familiar with Agile development methodologies

  • Good SQL and Shell scripting skills
  • Programming skills with some of the following languages: C++, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Python.

  • Software domain enthusiast, you want to sharpen your knowledge

  • Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus

  • Experience with Docker/Kubernetes environments is a plus
